History

August 13, 1920 - the first Kazakh information agency - Orenburg-Turgay department of the ROSTA - established.

1925 - renamed into KazROST.

1937 - attached to the Council of Ministers of the Kazakh SSR under the title of KazTAG.

September 10, 1997 - by the Decree of the President of Kazakhstan renamed into the National Information agency - KazAAG.

November 8, 2002 - by the Decree of the Government of Kazakhstan "National Information agency" National Company - JSC "National Company Kazinform" established on the basis of KazAAG.

2008 - by the Decree of the Kazakh Government "Kazinform" National Company become a part of "Arna-Media" National Information Holding".
