KAZINFORM University of Wisconsin - Madison will offer its Kazakh language teaching methodic to Nazarbayev University, Director of the Center for Russia, East Europe and Central Asia Yoshiko Herrera said in an interview for PM.kz site. "This coming year, we are to continue our work with language training in Nazarbayev University, but we are working not on the language teaching per se, but on the pedagogy of teaching languages to what we call in America heritage speakers," Yoshiko Herrera said. It is worth noting that University of Wisconsin - Madison is one of the USA universities teaching Turkic languages and Kazakh language, in particular. According to her, there is such phenomenon in Kazakhstan as heritage speakers which is people whose family speak a language but who may not have some of the in that language skills and don't start learning language from its very bases.
