Aeroflot airline cancels flights to Syria
ASTANA. August 6. KAZINFORM One of the oldest airlines in the world Aeroflot of Russia cancels flights to Damascus, Syria, starting from Monday (August 6), Kazinform has learnt from Utro.ru.
Earlier the Russian air carrier said the decision was due to commercial reasons. According to Aeroflot reps, this route was not a popular one.
Those who wish to get to Syria from Russia may use other airlines that offer flights to Damascus with one or two transfers. Russia's Foreign Affairs Ministry recommended the citizens of the country to refrain from trips to Syria due to unstable situation in the country.
