Boxer Birzhan Zhakypov downs opponent in Round 16, advances at Olympics
ASTANA. August 4. KAZINFORM Boxer from Kazakhstan Birzhan Zhakipov fought in Men's Light Fly (49 kg) category with Mark Barriga from the Republic of the Philippines in Round 16 at the 2012 Olympic Games in London.

Kazakh athlete beat his opponent in a hot fight 17-16, thus reaching the quarterfinals.
