ASTANA. August 1. KAZINFORM The single policy on improvement of water supply systems is developed within "Ak Bulak - 2020" Program, director of the utilities department of the Agency for Construction, Housing and Utilities of Kazakhstan Olga Titova said in the interview for Pm.kz site.

"The single technical policy of "Ak Bulak - 2020" Program will be defined within the framework of the systematic approach and the measures on improvement of the system of water supply and water disposal of the country are planned to be developed," O. Titova said.

As she noted, justification of investments regarding 55 towns is developed within this approach. It will define the criteria of selection and a priority of implementation of investment projects and become a basis for defining the single technical policy.

According to the information, systematic approach provides for implementation of a number of coordinated measures including inspection of water supply and water disposal facilities in 256 villages and 27 towns. As the Agency for Construction, Housing and Utilities of Kazakhstan informs, currently 230 localities have already been inspected.

Besides, the Committee for Geology and Subsoil Use of the Ministry of Industry and New Technologies of Kazakhstan will hold exploration works amounting to KZT 5.1 bln. Committee for Water Resources of the Ministry of Agriculture of Kazakhstan, in its turn, will hold works on reconstruction and modernization of water supply network totaling KZT 16.1 bln.

"In total, it is planned to allocate KZT 116 bln for implementation of "Ak Bulak - 2020" Program this year. We also plan to realize 108 projects of municipal water supply system for 44.3 bln tenge and 238 projects of rural water supply system amounting to 33 bln tenge," O. Titova said.
