ASTANA. July 9. KAZINFORM KZT 20 million raised from the sale of tickets during the Capital Day in Astana will be donated to 25 disabled kids. Head of Education Department of Astana city Asima Bimendina made it public on Monday (July 9).  

"The money raised during the festivities on the Capital Day will be spent on medical treatment of disabled children. 25 kids will undergo treatment at the world's best hospitals and clinics," she said during the awarding ceremony of money certificates.

According to Chairperson of "Disabled Children Community of Astana city" public association Kamky Zhassanova, currently Astana numbers approximately 1 500 disabled children. "And they all crave for help and attention. It is very kind of the government to lend a helping hand to those kids every year. More than 50 children have improved their health thanks to akimat's (administration of Astana city) assistance," K.Zhassanova added.

It is worth mentioning that these charity campaigns have become quite a tradition. The money raised from the sale of tickets during the Capital Day festivities is given to charities.
