ASTANA. June 29. KAZINFORM At its Friday joint session the Parliament of Kazakhstan has made a decision on completion of the first session of the Parliament of the V convocation.

"First of all we've been working on the solution of strategic tasks set by the Head of State at the opening of the first session, and participated actively in the implementation of the President's instructions on the priority areas of his State-of-the-Nation Address "Socio-Economic Modernization - the Main Vector of Kazakhstan's Development," said Chairman of the Majilis Nurlan Nigmatulin, who made a report on the results of the first session.

The Majilis Speaker noted the importance of legislative support of social and economic projects of the State Program of Forced Industrialization and other initiatives for further sustainable development of Kazakhstan.

He talked about the most important bills considered and adopted by the Parliament during the last session, stressing their importance for the socio-economic development. N.Nigmatulin also noted the big contribution made by parliamentarians in improving the country's legislation in the progress of working on bills.
