Senate OKs law on expansion of Kazakh-Afghan coop in education
ASTANA. June 21. KAZINFORM Kazakh senators adopted the Law "On ratification of the Protocol on amendments to the Agreement between the Government of the Republic of Kazakhstan and the Government of the Islamic Republic of Afghanistan on cooperation in the sphere of education as of November 22, 2009" at the plenary session in Astana.
Minister of Education and Science of Kazakhstan Bakytzhan Zhumagulov says the law ensures further expansion of cooperation in the field of education between Kazakhstan and Afghanistan. For instance, 35 citizens of Afghanistan are to be trained under Master's degree at the Kazakhstani HEIs annually.
