ASTANA. June 20. KAZINFORM An innovative intellectual cluster is established around the Nazarbayev University. The cluster will promote transfer and creation of new technologies followed by their introduction in production, Director of the Central Research Office of the Nazarbayev University Gani Nygymetov said in an interview for PM.kz site.

According to him, presently, 65 research projects are implemented in the University. 19 of them are financed by the Ministry of Education and Science as a state order. The University also implements 11 grant projects of scientific centers.

"Besides, 35 projects are implemented this year by out professors and they actively attract students in implementation of these projects. All of these projects are implemented at the expense of the University," G.Nygymetov said.

According to the Director of the Central Research Office, implementation of all projects is presently underway. Their main purpose is to achieve specific results. "The main purpose of all the researches is their introduction in the production or their commercialization. Commercialization office was established in the University for this purpose. On the instruction of the President, an industrial innovative cluster is established on the basis of the University. All our researches, developments will be accumulated in this cluster and later commercialized and introduced in the production," Gani Nygymetov said.

The Scientific Council of the Nazarbayev University conducts strategic planning and research administration activities. Besides, a new structural subdivision - Central Research Office was established in the University. It will render technical and organizational support to scientists and researchers.
