ASTANA. June 18. KAZINFORM "Kazakhstan will put forward its initiatives Global Energy Ecological Strategy and "Green Bridge" Partnership Program at the United Nations Conference on Sustainable Development, Rio+20, (Conference)," the official representative of the Kazakh Ministry of Foreign Affairs A. Abibullayev said at a briefing.

The Kazakh delegation headed by Minister of Environmental Protection Nurlan Kapparov will attend the conference scheduled on June 20-22, in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil," Abibullayev added.

According to him, the two themes: (a) a "green economy" in the context of sustainable development and poverty eradication; and (b) the institutional framework for sustainable development will be discussed within the conference.
