KAZINFORM 500 healthcare facilities, including hospitals, clinics and medical centers, were built over the years of independence in Kazakhstan, Secretary of State of Kazakhstan Mukhtar Kul-Mukhammed said at the event dated to the Day of Medical Worker in Astana. "The domestic sphere of healthcare is under constant control of the Head of State Nursultan Nazarbayev. Over the years of independence 500 healthcare facilities were built in the country," Mukhtar Kul-Mukhammed said in his congratulatory speech. According to the Secretary of State, the budget of the healthcare system has increased fourfold over the last five years. "This is a big achievement for sovereign Kazakhstan," he stressed.
