TASHKENT. June 14. KAZINFORM A number of events dated to the 20^th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic ties between Kazakhstan and Uzbekistan will take place in Uzbekistan, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Kazakhstan to Uzbekistan Boribay Zheksembin told a Thursday briefing.

"These events dated to twenty years of diplomatic relations between our countries will show the amicable character of ties between Kazakhstan and Uzbekistan," the Kazakh envoy explained.

An international conference "20 years of mutually profitable cooperation of Kazakhstan and Uzbekistan: Past, Present and Future" bringing together experts from both countries, "The Week of Kazakhstani cinematography" in Uzbekistan and a concert of Uzbek and Kazakh musicians will be held starting from September.

In addition, a monument to the great Kazakh writer and philosopher Abay Kunanbayev is to be unveiled in Tashkent.
