Nuclear safety training centers to appear in Kazakhstan
ASTANA. May 25. KAZINFORM Commission on Nonproliferation of Weapons of Mass Destruction under the President of Kazakhstan has held a regular meeting under the chairmanship of "Nazarbayev Center" Director Kanat Saudabayev.

Opening the session Saudabayev noted that for two years of its activities the commission has made a worthy contribution to the effective implementation of the policies of President Nursultan Nazarbayev on the non-proliferation and disarmament in the country and abroad.

"Further strengthening of the nonproliferation regime and nuclear disarmament process at the global level is the most important foreign policy priority of the country. The highest recognition by the international community's global leadership of our President and our country, which we all have seen at the Summit on Nuclear Security in Seoul, necessitate further vigorous steps of the republic in this area. This is the goal of the commission," Saudabayev said.
At today's meeting, the participants discussed the implementation of protocol orders of the commission, identified new areas of work, and also exchanged views on the issues of non-proliferation, nuclear safety.

Following the meeting, the state agencies were instructed to implement the decisions of the Seoul Summit, establish training centers on nuclear safety, and concerning other matters within the jurisdiction of the commission.
