ASTANA. May 23. KAZINFORM At today's bilateral meeting in Akorda Kazakh President Nursultan Nazarbayev thanked Prime Minister of Turkey Recep Tayyip Erdogan for participation in the V Astana Economic Forum.

"Your visit and participation in the Astana Economic Forum raised the level of authority of the forum and Kazakhstan," Nursultan Nazarbayev said.

The Head of State recalled that last year Kazakhstan celebrated the 20th anniversary of independence. "When we declared independence, Turkey was first to congratulate us. We will never forget it," Nursultan Nazarbayev noted.
Nazarbayev said that Turkey in recent years achieved significant results in its development. Turkey's economy is gradually turning into one of the largest economies in the world. "At the same time Turkey's authority and status in our region is increasing," the Kazakh President added.

According to Nazarbayev, for 20 years relations between our nations have become stronger.
