9 died as military helicopter crashes in Uzbekistan

ASTANA. KAZINFORM Mi-171 helicopter of the Uzbek Defense Ministry crashed in Fergana region on October 18, UzDaily reported citing the Ministry's press service.

The helicopter was carrying out a planned flight on this day. 3 crew members and 6 servicemen who were onboard of the helicopter died as a result of the accident.

A special commission was established to investigate into the crash causes.
