ALMATY.  July 13. KAZINFORM Last Friday the Council of the Eurasian Development Bank (EDB) held a session in Almaty. From the Russian side it was attended by Minister of Industry and Trade Viktor Khristenko, from the Armenian side - by  Minister of Energy and Natural Resources Iosif Isayan. Kazakhstan was represented there by Minister of Finances Bolat Zhamishev and Minister of Industry and Trade Asset Issekeshev, Kazinform refers to the press service of the Bank. 

The Council considered information on the course of work on introducing amendments to the Bank's 2008-2010 Development Plan in connection with adoption of an Action program on ensuring the EDB's activity amid the global financial crisis. The session participants also heard the Bank's report on its project activity for January-May, 2009. Deloitte LLP was chosen external auditor of the Bank for 2009 activity results.  

The Eurasian Development Bank is an international financial organization established by Russia and Kazakhstan in January 2006 for promoting development of economy of the member countries, their sustainable economic growth and expansion of mutual trade-economic ties. The charter capital of the Bank hits USD 1.5 bln.
