ASTANA. July 9. KAZINFORM. Chairman of the Finance and Budget Committee of the Majilis (Lower House of Kazakhstan's Parliament) Gulzhana Karagussova has received the representatives of the European Commission in Kazakhstan today; Kazinform refers to the House's press service.

The sides discussed a wide array of topics including the ways on overcoming the crisis, Kazakhstan's chairmanship in the OSCE, preparation for Kazakhstan's joining the WTO, formation of the Customs Union between Kazakhstan, Russia and Belarus as well as the issues of efficiency of the current financial system.

The delegation consisted of Ambassador of Sweden in Kazakhstan Hans Olsson, EU Special Representative for Central Asia Pierre Morel, Head of delegation of the European Commission to Kazakhstan Norbert Jousten and others.

Representatives of Kazakhstan's Foreign Affairs Ministry took part in the meeting as well.
